SHEA DAY...

As salaamu alaikum & Hello ladies,  Well today was a day for making all kinds of whipped shea butter.  Some for hair and some for skin.  Some for my children , some for my hubby and some for friends of the family.  You may be wondering what in the world is this large item I am showing here.  Well...... You're right, it pure shea butter, has never been touched or altered.  It's still in it's shell, this thing is huge not to mention super heavy.  A companion of my husband and family friend, bought this at the Africian market in Brooklyn, ( NYC).  And gave it to me,  this will last me for a very, very long time.

Here is one way I made some for my hair:

1 cup of  shea butter ( or so)
1 tablespoon of conditioner
2oz olive oil ( or oil of choice)
6-10 drops of Essential oil of choice
and BLEND, BLEND, BLEND

Feel free to adjust ingredients to your liking, you'd be super surprised what you can come up with !

I apply this to my ends to seal , It's great and very moisturizing!

Enjoy!!!

Chocolate orchid: I really enjoy trying different ways that products can be tweeked, sometimes I may see a recipe and adjust it to my liking. Then I will put it to the test sometimes I love it and sometimes , I'm like what in the world ? ( LOL).

I meant 1 cup, I'm going to go correct that right now, thanks. However, you can add more of either if it works best for you. When I first made this recipe, I used way to much conditioner and I didn't like it. So it's what's to your liking. Take care, and thanks for stopping by ( smiles)

Anonymous : Hi, If you're looking for shea butter already whipped and ready to go visit this site
peaceloveandsunshine.esty.com she makes her product and its really great. To smooth your shea butter visit my post here called
"whipped shea butter". And to improve scent there is essential oils, which I love . Be careful not all of the eo's will go well with the scent of shea butter. Lavender, peppermint, orange, strawberry, lemongrass, grapefruit they are all my fav's and work well for me. You can find essential oils online and /or at your local health food/ vitamin store. I hope this helps and thanks for stopping by. Take care
