As Salaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuhu , To all of my sisters in Islaam .
And Hello to all of my non -Muslims who stop by AuNaturale from time to time :))
Today's post is a bit different from my usual type of postings. Today's post is on a subject that is very near and dear to my heart.....Islaam. I gave doing this post much thought because as stated this is not what AuNaturale it's self is based on. But, this is a part of me zainab1. As many of you know That I am a practicing Muslim and have been for 8 years, Alhamdulillah! ( praise be to Allaah).
Below I will share a link on a great lecture which gives a really good explanation as to what Islaam is and What Islaam is about . I felt this to be quite important to share , because many...many...many individuals receive their information about Islaam from poor outlets,. The media, people who are not Muslims and have a poor understanding about Islam based off of what they've heard or read.
I am not in any way sharing this link with any of you in hopes of doing nothing more than giving anyone who may not know the correct meaning of Islam to aid them in understanding Islaam better, Inshaa Allaah ( godwilling).
For those of you who are not interested, that is solely your choice. And you are free to that idea. However , I asked each and every person whether you view this very beneficial video or not. To please remain respectful upon leaving comments if you choose to do so. Anything disrespectful toward , Allaah, prophet Muhammad or Islaam will not be posted.....WHAT SO EVER.
Again, this is not a preachy type of video , it is solely to give Muslims and non- Muslims alike a better understanding of Islaam. Taken from a practicing Muslim himself. And the link is as follows http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uOV5POZZqtU&feature=share
ENJOY..... TAKE CARE.... AND THANKS FOR VIEWING ! :))

Although I am not Muslim, my in-laws are. My husband is, and he shares a lot with me with our children. And fortunately he is very understanding and respectful of all religions which I appreciate and wish the entire world could do.
@Tiffany...Yes !, I do remember you sharing that your husband and his family are in fact muslims:)).
I agree with you I as well wish all would respect all's religion and their choice to worship.
Thanks for stopping by Tiffany and sharing your thuoghts with us. Take care :))

@Chocolate Orchid...Thanks CO, and thanks ever so much for sharing your thoughts with us, take care :))
Hello, Thanks for sharing the link. Even though I am not Muslim, I have family members who do practice the faith and have been fortunate enough to live in a country that was partly Muslim (Nigeria) - I actually lived next door to a prayer hall (not a Mosque - someone had built a hall in his compound for the surrounding people to come to Pray) and found the morning prayers to be the most calming and beautiful way to start a new day.... I am very open to Islam, As I am also open and respectful towards my Rastafarian friends, Buddhists friends,Christian friends, my Atheists friends and even some ladies who practice Wicca. I am all for learning and sharing thoughts and ideas, as long as it can be done with an open mind, a kind heart and true sense of understanding without judgement. I am of the belief that we can all learn from each others' Faiths and Practices, and we take something away within us when we hear The True Word, no matter what context or Which Religious Figure says it. Have a Blessed Day.
@Afropean Queen...Thanks Afropean Queen for stopping by and sharing your thoughts with us:))
Take care :))
Thanks for sharing this. I've always been interested in learning about different religions. This looks like a thorough video.
@Nappyheadedblackgirl....The video is very thorough. the important thing here is which ever religion your interested in learning about. Make sure your resources are authentic. Not from places or people who are fearful of that religion or its followers. Normally, thats where the misleading , and misunderstanding comes into play. Because if the people are not of that religion there is no way in gods earth they can inform any one on it correctly. Be it educators, news reporters, writers, etc
Thanks for stopping by Kay, take care :))
