~ THE WONDER'S OF LAVENDER ~

Hello fabulous Naturals!

Today I wanted to speak a little about the wonder's of Lavender. Lavender happens to be one of my favorite herbs to use in relation to my hair and body. Lavender takes it's name from the Latin word "Lavare" which means to wash.  Lavender also aide's in the following:

Head lice- It's said that Lice hate the scent of Lavender. Use lavender in your oils to rid your hair and scalp of lice and its eggs.

Alopecia- Lavender aids in stimulating growth. Massage your scalp with Lavender oil, a few times a week. With your favorite carrier oil.

Hair Growth-  If your hair is thinning or slow in growth. Try adding Lavender to your favorite carrier oil. Lavender helps in growth stimulation and balance oil production. Thus, scalp messages has been known to aide in hair growth.

Lavender Hair Rinse-  Lavender is very effective in treating dandruff. Also great as a hair rinse.  Simply boil a small pot of 2 cups of water,  add 1/2 cup or so of Lavender herbs to a bowl, once your water has completed boiling , pour the water over your lavender herbs. Allow it to steep until completely cool. Use this as your final rinse on your wash day allowing it to sit in your hair for 10- 15 minutes , then proceed with rinsing. Lavender rinse helps in providing shiny hair and has a lovely scent.

Here is my Aloe Lavender spritz recipe:

Steep your Lavender herbs just as mentioned above. For this recipe I use less water depending on the size of your spritz bottle. I add the same amount or a bit less of Aloe Vera Juice. Shake well. And apply this to my hair daily, or as needed. I have made many different versions of Aloe spritzes. And the Lavender Aloe spritz is by far my favorite.

Thanks for stopping by Curlies take care and remember to stay Naturally healthy and Fabulous!
