~GOT A COUGH ...HERBAL COUGH SYRUP~

Hello Ladies!

I hope you all had a safe and beneficial weekend. Today I'd like to share with you a great little herbal mixture that can help the entire family. With the cold weather we've been having . There is a possibility you or one of your loved one's may come down with a  minor cough of sorts.  I give my family a hardy dose of homemade " herbal Thyme and honey cough syrup" .  This herbal mixture is a double hitter not only is it good for coughs it helps with sore throats, and more.  With it's antibacterial and anti fungal properties , There are many benefits in both of the primary ingredients in this herbal cough syrup. Lets briefly talk about some of those benefits:

Thyme:

Thyme aids in fighting colds, breaks up mucus, aids with fevers, sore throats, plus more!
We primarily know Thyme to be great in the dishes we cook. And its also great for our hair. But it's just as good for our bodies. Some of the benefits for the inside of our bodies are , but not limited to :

Bronchitis
Migraine
Asthma

How about the outsides of our bodies:

Fungal infections
some skin infections
Ulcers

Thyme is a Multi benefit herb! as with many herbs. Now When I speak of Thyme I'm not referencing Thyme brought from our local supermarkets. I'm speaking of Thyme that's much fresher, like those brought from an herbal store, and the likes. Another great thing about This mixture is that it's also great for children.

Honey:

A great immune booster. Has wonderful natural healing for many ailments filled with antioxidant, antimicrobial and anti bacterial properties. Great for the digestive system, and sore throats. ***It's not suggested to give honey to babies***

Ingredients:

1 Pint of boiling water ( I use purified water)
1 oz Thyme
1 cup of Honey
1 glass mason jar

Put your Thyme into a bowl. Boil your water, once your water has completed boiling pour the water over your herb. Allow to step until room temperature. Strain , add your honey. And transfer into your jar. Keep refrigerated.  I give 1 (one) tablespoon as often as needed. That's the beauty of using natural herbs. The restrictions are less as to how often it can been used.

As for the taste, It doesn't have the best taste in the world. But the benefit out ways the taste, it's easier to get past the taste when you think of the health benefits.

*** Please note I am not a doctor nor in the health care profession. I simply share  what I have found beneficial for my health and the health of my family. Please do your own research, and or seek advice from a medical profession should you have concerns***

Thanks for stopping by. Take care and remember to stay Naturally Fabulous!
