~ TEA TIME TUESDAY IN REVIEW " ALFALFA HERB " ~

Happy tea time Tuesday ladies!

Today I decided to do the post a bit different. Instead of showing a delicious cup of tea, I decided to show a picture of the herb itself. So lets get started shall we!.

Here we have another great tasting and very beneficial herb. This Alfalfa herb has been called the “king of plants” since it is extremely rich in vitamins and minerals. It is quite popular as a blood purifier and as a cure for all rheumatism.

The name alfalfa means "Father of all Foods." Extremely rich in Iron, calcium, potassium, and many others. Aids in preventing tooth decay. And A good source of carotene (Vitamin A) and a little known vitamin – Vitamin K, the blood clotting vitamin which has been known to help peptic ulcers.

Great for :

Allergies
Anemia
Gout
Arthritis
Rheumatism
and many others!

The alfalfa herb is also very high in:

Vitamin C
Vitamin A
protein
Niacin
and many others!

It has been known to help in the fight against :

Heart Disease
Strokes
Cancer
Diabetes

It is  also said that people using antibiotics, such as amoxcillin, gentamicin, and the likes can benefit from this herb as it helps in restoring levels of vitamin K which is depleted when using antibiotics.

This herb is very dark green in color. The texture reminds me of Grass. And can also be used for cooking. This herb can be used by all, including children.

I really enjoy the taste, it has a very smooth taste. I like to drink it hot while adding a little  Peppermint and top it off with a few drops of lemon. In fact I am enjoying a cup as I am typing.  This tea is one of my favorites it is loaded with so many Vitamins.

*** Do refrain from using this herb if you are on blood thinners, or pregnant.***

Well there you have today's Tea Time Tuesday in review. Thanks for stopping by Ladies, Take care.

Wow, I have never heard of this tea before.

I'm not much of a hot tea drinker but my mother is. Since you enjoyed this one so much I'll let her know about it.

Hi Kay,

Yes. This is such a great herb, and the benefits are many. Your mom may enjoy it!

You know I wasn't much of a tea drinker either, but in the mornings I had to have something hot like hot cocoa, coffee, etc.

I knew there had to be a healthier alternative then those mentioned above. So I decided if I was going to enjoy a warm beverage in the morning, at least let have healthy beneficial qualities. And there my road to herbal teas began. And I haven't looked back since.

Thanks for stopping by Kay, Enjoy your day!
