FRUGAL CLEANING FRIDAY IN REVIEW " DIY DISINFECTANT WIPES"
Happy Frugal Friday Ladies!
Today I bring you a easy and inexpensive way to make your very own disinfectant wipes. I really enjoy making my own cleaning and household products. Loving the fact that I am fully aware and have full control as to what is in the household items I use in my home and around my family.
This recipe is great! and has great antibiotic, antiviral, antiseptic, and antifungal properties. All that's needed is a few items, and you will have yourself your very own DIY disinfectant wipes.
Ingredients:
1 mason jar with a lid.
*** If you will be using vinegar with this recipe . Use a mason jar with a plastic lid , rather than one with a metal lid as the vinegar will interact with the metal lid. If you do not have a plastic lid , just put a piece of saran wrap over the top of your jar before putting on your metal lid.***
Micro fiber clothes cut into 10-20 ( more or less if you like) or cut pieces of an old t-shirt. ( I perfer using micro fiber cloths, as they do a better job at cleaning.)
1-1/4 cup distilled or purified water. ( I use purified water it aids in the lifespan of your DIY products)
1/4 cup white vinegar or castile soap.
*** please do not use both vinegar and castile soap should not be used together. To find out why read here :http://lisa.drbronner.com/?p=292 ( I perfer to use vinegar, oppose to using castile soap for this recipe the castile soap was just a bit to soapy for me .) *** When I use castile soap in any of my cleaning products I always use Dr. Bronners.
3-4 drops of Tea Tree EO - which is filled with antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties.
3-4 drops of Eucalyptus EO- filled with antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties.
3-4 drops of Lavender EO- Also filled with antibiotic, antifungal, antiviral, and antibacterial properties.
Directions:
Cut your pieces of cloths. Put your cut clothes into your mason jar. Mix your water , vinegar or soap, and EO'S . Once you've do that simply pour the liquid over your wipes. put on your lid and give a good shake. Squeeze your wipes upon each use to release the extra liquid back into the jar. And there you have DIY Disinfectant wipes
A great benefit to this is your wipes can be reused. After using your wipes simply put your wipes in the wash. And reuse as many times as you like. Safe, effective, and a money saver!
Thanks for stopping by and joining us for Frugal Friday. Until next time. Have a great weekend. and remember to stay Naturally Fabulous!

HAIR TALK THURSDAY IN REVIEW " KBB'S BUTTER LOVE"
Hello Ladies!
Today we will be reviewing Karen Body Beautiful's "Butter Love". Some of you may know I am a huge KBB fan. Because we all have different hair texture's what works for me very well may not work for your hair texture. I personally feel that this company may be one of the top natural hair care lines ( this is just my personal opinion, as we all have one). There are a few running with her that are my second in command, but as for now. This is my first in command. After reviewing and sharing my thoughts with you all here @ AuNaturale. I will share my final of final thoughts as too which ones work the best for my hair.
I 've chosen to do a bit more of reviewing products, and the likes oppose to the education of the hair. Reason's being : 1. , I wanted to switch it up a bit here on my page . 2. I have a ample amount of hair care and education on this page already which is what I primarily focused on when I went natural and began blogging, don't get me wrong the importance of correctly caring for and understanding needs of our natural tresses are still very much a priority for me and the care of my hair. 3. I feel there are a wealth of other blogs that cover a lot of education of natural hair, and it's not that much more to it. It begins to become a lot of what you may have read and or learned via other natural hair blogs.
Once you learn the nature of the education of natural hair. It's not much more left to learn, if you ask me. If your anything like me. Before buying my products I enjoy hearing the thoughts of others as to their findings and thoughts on that particular product. For me, this really helps a lot in my overall decision upon purchasing a product.
So let's get into our review:
Price :$18.00 / 7oz
Butter love:
Made only from rich, thick butters and luxurious oils, Karen's Butter Love conditions, softens and adds sheen to fragile, stressed hair. Great for thick hair.
Ingredients:
Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao) , Mango Butter (Mangifera Indica) , Jojoba Butter (Simmondsia Chinensis), Aloe Butter, Essential and/or Fragrance Oils (Parfum), Grapefruit Seed Oil (Citrus Paradisi) & Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
*** This is a Paraben, Protein, silicone, Glycerine and Sulfate free product.***
Directions:
Use twice a week on hair and scalp or as needed. Works best on dry hair since wet hair generally doesn't absorb butters and rich oils readily.
Scent: Lavender Vanilla ( but not limited to ) As with the other product I reviewed . This is a nice light scent, not to overpowering.
My thoughts:
This little number is off white to beige in color. The texture is more like a smooth butter just as stated in the name of the product. Once you scoop a bit out of the jar rub it into the palms of your hands in will melt and will be easily applied to the hair.
It's veeeery moisturizing, in fact I like this butter better for my hair ( 3b, 4a) that I do the Super Duper cream which you can find the review that here :http://www.aunaturale007.blogspot.com/2013/01/my-thoughts-on-kbbs-super-duper.html
I must add that these butters/ creams are light weight and do not weigh the hair down. And an additional benefit is that they don't leave your hair feeling greasy, they absorb into the hair very well. Again , I must include Karen's Body Beautiful products leaves my hair moisturized for days. Not 1 day, nor 2 days. I am speaking of 3-4 days. Now, if that's not a product worth buying I don't know what is. You get moisture for days, and a little goes a long way which means having your product for longer which then equals SAVINGS!
I have a few more of her products to review here. But thus far I have not been disappointed. Would I recommend this product to other naturals, YES!. especially if your one who's hair is colored , doesn't seem to hold moisture well, or simply needs and extra boost of added moisture I would definitely recommend products from Karen's Body Beautiful . Would I repurchase YES!
I have 3 daughters, and I use KBB on all of their hair.

TEA TIME TUESDAY IN REVIEW " BRAIN BOOSTER TEA"!
Hello Ladies!
Today I bring you Tea Time Tuesday!. Here I will share a few of my all time favorite herbal teas. I've found drinking herbal tea's have been very beneficial for me , my health and the health of my family. Noticing more energy, along with being less sluggish and the just an over all feeling of knowing my family and myself are drinking something healthy, is joy enough for me.
No longer drinking those horrible high fructose and sugar filled drinks, with many added unhealthy ingredients. Rather choosing water or a few cups of Herbal Tea, is such a better choice. My past morning beverage was Coffee, Instead I grab a cup of any of the many herbal teas I have in my cabinet. Adding a bit of lemon, and Enjoy !
The key is not buying into those herbal teas, which we find in our local supermarkets that are sprayed with things we are unaware of, dried out, and not fresh. Instead buying your teas from an authentic , trustworthy herbal store, and or buying your herbs fresh or, growing them yourselves.
Other added benefit's are many of the teas brought are good for the entire family, children included. I have been giving my children herbal teas and they love them .They like to add honey in theirs ( I'm not a huge honey fan). When I know my children are any member of my family is coming down with something , I have the perfect remedy right here from home. And it's all natural!
Preferring in minor symptoms to give my family something natural, oppose to the drugs given from the doctor (i. cough medicine, etc). However if it's a case of something where I feel my children need more, than the herbal teas can offer. I will with out a doubt take them to their doctor.
Upon doing research and a bit of homework. Allows you to become familiar with which herb or herbal mixes are good for what condition to suit the needs of your family. And which ones may not be good for you and your family based off of their present health history. You must be careful if you or any of your family members are taking medication, as some teas interact with the med's. Other than that they are Great!
And guess what...they make wonderful gifts, you can add them to gift baskets, as well.
My favorite all time place to purchase my teas is Bulk Herb Store. I looove this place. I will buy my teas no other place accept maybe from mountain rose herbs, occasionally. I love all the information Bulk Herb Store provides both at their site and via their You Tube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/BulkHerbStore?feature=watch here you will find a Plethora of great videos and information on the many health benefits of herbal teas. Oh yeah , And their customer service, is excellent. Any questions you may have you are sure to get a quick response.
I have so many teas from Bulk Herb Store as I hope to share them all with you here @ AuNaturale. So let's talk about the " Brain Booster tea" shall we:
The cost $12.95 / 0.5 lbs. You get a nice amount for this price. It comes in a nice sturdy bag. with the ingredients on the label.
This is an organic tea, . It's naturally caffeine free , that's another thing I want nothing to do with caffeine, perhaps if it's natural only. This little number has a mixture of herbs which includes:
Ginkgo- Which is great for circulation, and is filled with Iron, calcium, and vitamin C.
Peppermint- Filled with Potassium, protein, Vitamin A, just to name a few. Great for colds, stomach problems, Menstrual cramps, etc.
Red Raspberry- Filled with Niacin, Calcium, Iron , Plus more. Can be used as an eye wash, sore throats, etc. Red Raspberry is great for the moms- to be, also.
Eleuthero Root- Eleuthero has been used to treat depression, and Immune deficiency, just to name a few.
Orange Peel- Great for colds and flu, coughs, lower high blood pressure, plus more!
Red Rooibos ( one of my faves , look out for a review on this one)- Contains high levels of antioxidants, Alpa -hydroxy (great for skin), fluoride, and many more. It also aids in boosting the immune system, allergies, plus some!
Stevia- A natural sweetener , no added calories! . And it has been used to treat digestion, and the liver, with many more added benefits.
Now that you know what's in the wonderful tea. Let's talk taste, well it's pretty easy, it taste great. I must say if you are not use to anything with out the added sugar, and non natural sweeteners this may need time for you to get used to. As for myself, once I had made a conscience decision to no longer put certain things into my body. The taste was no big deal for me any longer. I believe it's all a mind over matter ordeal. Just add a bit of either, honey, lemon, or Cinnamon to suit your taste.
All of the beneficial herbs together makes a powerhouse in brain function. They recommended you have a few cups of this a day. I mix my teas up I may not have only this tea, I may drink a different tea on my second cup with my lunch or dinner.
It's suggested to keep your teas, in a cool dark place, or in the refrigerator. This one according to the site is not mention as being recommended for children.
Disclaimer: I am in no way affiliated with the aforementioned site, nor am I a medicial expert. Please do your own research, should you have concerns.
Well that's it, for today. How about you ladies, which teas are you sipping!
Thanks for reading, take care. And remember to stay Naturally Fabulous!

GREEN CLEAN FRIDAY'S REVIEW" NATURAL AIR FRESHNER"
Today I bring my first Green clean Friday's review. For a while I've been a green cleaning fanatic. I no longer purchase many of my household items pre made , I now make them myself.
After doing research on the affects of many of our common household cleaning products. I quickly decided to do away with many of them. I've found this way is best for myself and my family, Being conscious of what we put into our bodies, internally and externally in all areas of our lives.
There are a wealth of DIY green cleaning recipes on many blogs. Here @ AuNaturale I will bring you many of the recipes and touching on the effectiveness of it all. I've tried a few that just didn't cut it for me. Then there are those that I love, and work great! better than those deadly store brought items. That are made with many harmful chemicals that cause cancer, breathing conditions, asthma, respiratory conditions, both eye and skin irritants, the list could go on and on as to why we should really began to give much thought to the items we expose our loved ones to.
Have your ever sprayed a can of Lysol ?! I don't know about you ladies but that stuff is deadly, you will begin to cough, it get's into your throat, all while we are under the impression its doing wonders for our cleaning, it's causing horrible harm to our health.
Or how about the plug in air freshener's. I must admit I loooove any and all things that carry a pleasant sent. But there are some on the market that smells like crap, and it makes you wonder what there really made of. Not to mention they simply mask odor's. Baking soda neutralizes odors.
Or how about buying these items, and you can not pronounce any of the words. I'm sorry, but much like the products I buy for my hair I like to be able to easily pronounce them. This way, I am familiar with many of the ingredients because I've heard of them.
Today I will share a very easy, and common Natural Air freshener...that is great! and works!
The main ingredient is "Baking soda" , yep that's all you need. If you would like to add your favorite Essential oil, that works wonders as well. Here is what I do:
What's needed:
Mason Jar's ( use as many as you like)
1/4 cup or so of Baking Soda
Essential oils ( optional) below I will share a few oils that go well together should you decide to use a mixture.
a bit of rice, just a bit ( this helps in the baking soda not to retain moisture)
piece of cheesecloth, or pretty lace material ( actually you can get pretty creative with this part using what you like. You can even use foil , just poke a few hole's in the top. Some use the tops to their mason jars and poke holes in it, or you can use a large salt shaker)
Rubber bands
Ribbon
Directions:
Put your Baking Soda into your Mason Jar. Should you decide to use EO's with this apply after your Baking Soda. Add a bit of rice. Place your cheesecloth or your lace material. put your rubber band around the top of the jar to hold your material in place. Cut the cheesecloth, fabric or which ever you use (do this after you put the material on the jar secured with the rubber band). Once you've done this , now add your pretty bow.
You can place these every wear in your home . I have them in both of my bathrooms behind my toilets, in my bedrooms, living room, etc. If you applied EO's give the jar a shake when it crosses your mind, this will release the lovely scent from the EO's.
These jar filled natural air fresheners last for as long as you like. Once your done with it, and decided to make a fresh batch. Don't toss it, sprinkle it on your carpets. It will leave your carpets with a natural fresh scent.
How do these Natural Air freshener's work, you ask. Excellent! I love them and will never go back to anything other. I know exactly what's in it. It's easy, and give you a feeling of satisfaction knowing what your family is inhaling is natural and not harmful.
Here's a few EO's that work well together:
Lavender & Lemon
Eucalyptus, peppermint, sweet orange.
Lime, lemongrass, rosemary.
Grapefruit, Eucalyptus, Lavender, lemon, peppermint, rosemary.
Orange & rosemary.
These are just a few. Mix and match or use them alone.
Well there you have it a quick, fun and easy natural air room air freshener.
How about you ladies, do you have any DIY natural air freshener's you'd like to share with us here @ AuNaturale, do share we love to hear from you.
Until next time. Take care and have a great weekend!

~MY THOUGHTS ON KBB's SUPER DUPER HYDRATING HAIR CREAME~
Hello Fabulous Naturals!
It's been quite some time since my very last post here on AuNaturale. But I am back with an array of things to review and share with you guys. Everything from DIY green cleaning, herbs, and of course natural hair reviews.
So let's get started with one of my favorite natural hair lines Karen Body Beautiful "Super Duper Hydrating Hair Cream". I've been a fan of KBB'S for quite sometime, and thus far her products have never let me down. And the same goes for her Super Duper Hydrating Hair Cream.
Description:
Karen's Body Beautiful Super Duper Hydrating Hair Cream is an intensely hydrating hair cream and dressing that also moisturizes and nourishes the scalp. Filled with Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel, Argan Oil and Acai Powder.
Ingredients:
Shea Butter, Aloe Vera Gel, Argan Oil, Allantoin, Lecithin, Potassium Sorbate, Acai powder, Vegetable Wax, Vegetable Glycerin, Essential and/or Fragrance Oils & Vitamin E.
This product is parabens, Protein, Silicone, and Sulfate free.
The Suggested Usage:
Use twice a week on hair and scalp or as needed. Works best on dry or slightly damp hair.
Price: $ 16.00 / 6.7 oz
My Thoughts:
Allow me start by saying how moisturizing this little number is. I mean this product leaves my hair moisturized for days. I use it just as stated twice a week because for my hair this is all that's needed. It leaves my hair very, very soft. I love the amount of moisture and softness I get from using this product. And for myself the amount of days a product leaves my hair moisturized has a lot to do with me determining whether this is a continuous buying product. I've found that if a product leaves my hair moisturized for days. Then its serving a great purpose.
However, applying this product on my hair damp works much better oppose to when it's dry.
This product has a creamy whipped like texture. KBB offers a number of scents for both her hair and body products. I have the Lavender Vanilla scent, which I personally enjoy. It's just enough not to overpowering.
Will I repurchase this product...Absolutely. This is and will be a staple in my regimen. Honestly guys I can not say enough about her products. I have a few more of her products to review so stay tuned.
You can find KBB's " Super Duper Hydrating Hair Cream" at these online stores:
http://www.karensbodybeautiful.com/
http://www.sagenaturalceuticals.com/shop/ ( Super quick shipping, love this store)
http://www.curlmart.com/
If any of you ladies have tried this product , do share your finding with us here @ AuNaturale.
Thanks for stopping by, Take care
