COCONUT ROSE OIL...
1-2 Cups of coconut oil.
1/3 the amount of coconut oil with jojoba oil.
Handful of fresh or dried rose petals ( Or more if you so please).
Allow the flowers to infuse in the oil for your desired amount of time ( Note, you can allow this to sit from a few hours to a few days , to a few weeks , this is your infusion ...totally up to you, the longer the infusion the better the oil).
Strain the flowers from your oil with a strainer and or cheese cloth, add a few drops of Rose Essential Oil.
And, there you have your lovely coconut rose oil....
Remember these are just suggestions you can add or omit , to your liking :)

HOW TO DRENCH DRY , THIRSTY HAIR WITH MOISTURE...
Afro-textured hair loves moisture. Moisture is not the same as grease. Do you know how to get moisturized, soft to the touch hair? Well, I am going to tell you how. Remember, not everything works for everyone. Let's get started.
1. The time to start helping your hair to have moisture is before you shampoo. You can start providing moisture to your hair when it is bone dry, dirty and in need of cleansing. How do you do that? You provide your hair with a pre-wash treatment.
2. The next step you can take is to use a sulfate free shampoo. Sulfates are detergent like cleansers. The sulfate molecules attract water on one end and attract oil or grease on the other end. They literally can strip your already moisture deprived hair of the little bit of moisture it has. Thus, you want to avoid them. Go to the Ulta.com site and put in 'sulfate free' shampoo. Brands that come to mind are the Giovanni line and the new L'oreal line. On a budget and don't want to buy anything right now? Take your shampoo that you have now and dilute it with water. Then, add a tablespoon of olive, corn oil or any other natural oil to it. If you have any 100% pure aloe vera in the house, add ¼ cup of that to the mix. That will "soften" the shampoo for you.
3. Next, use a conditioner that says "moisturizing" in its name. Giovanni and L'oreal both have sulfate free conditioners as well. White Rain brand conditioner can be used as an inexpensive, moisturizing conditioner. I have Energizing Citrus in front of me. I know that it contains no sulfates. Probably the other White Rain scents are the same: sulfate free. To make this inexpensive conditioner thicker and richer, add oil and aloe vera. Don't dilute it with water.
4. Lastly, after you rinse the conditioner from your hair, put a moisturizing leave in product in your hair.
You want to add moisture to your hair at every step of the process. You can do this with the same types of products each step of the way. Try to avoid sulfates in your products and use water, aloe vera and natural oils liberally and generously.

TOP 5 BACK TO SCHOOL TIPS FOR COLLEGE CURLIES..
Whether it’s your first year on campus or your last, all college curlies want to make a good impression on the first day of classes! Here are some tips to get your curls, coils and kinks looking great!
1.You’ll be walking across a large campus during the day, and here in Texas at least, it’s still insanely hot, so style your hair away from your neck and face. Use an elastic headband, bobby pins, or wear your hair in a high bun to stay cool.
2.Use a gel or serum to keep your hair locked into its curl pattern and prevent frizziness. Kinky Curly Curling Custard is a great soft gel, but when using products with more hold, remember to use your favorite leave-in or oil first to prevent crunchy curls.
3.If you’re living in a dorm room this semester and you share a bathroom, try detangling your hair in your room. This will cut down on your time in the shower, and your roommate will thank you!
4.Sport your favorite easy style during the week, then rock your curliest curls for the weekend! If you have an Afro or very coily hair, try wearing two-strand twists throughout the week then rock an amazing twist-out to those back-to-school parties!
5.Compliment other college curlies you see! Nothing starts a great first conversation better! Trade tips, favorite products, and refer them to your favorite naturally curly blogs and websites.

HONEY CURLS...
Since it’s September, and September is National Honey Month, we thought we’d offer up some fun facts and tips about this fantastic natural ingredient.
Honey is a natural humectant:
This means it attracts and holds on to water molecules. This makes honey a great treatment for dry, damaged hair. Honey can be added to cleansers, conditioners, deep conditioners and oils. Or you can look for products that contain honey. Honey for your hair works best combined with other ingredients.
