~ THE BENEFITS OF LEAVE IN CONDITIONER'S ~
Hello Curlies!
Let's Talk leave-In's. I'm speaking of leave-in conditioners. I have found using a leave in to be of much importance in the caring and health of our Natural Tresses. For many reasons. Particularly if you are one whose hair is exposed to things that dry out your hair Such as sun exposer, the environment, dry air , or just poor judgement in the way to properly care for natural hair . Even if you are one who has a pretty good perception as to how to carefully care for your tresses. A leave in conditioner, is a very important step in our hair care regimen.
Using a leave in Helps in keeping the hair strands sealed and prepares our hair for the next stage of styling. Giving our hair that extra boost of needed moisture. Now, the type of leave used has an importance as well. Using a "MOISTURIZING" leave in conditioner is key. There are a plethora of leave in conditioner's on the market. But not all of them provide the moisture our hair needs.
For myself my leave in conditioners must be of a thick creamy consistency with water or Aloe Vera juice high up on the ingredient list with oils , and at least one humectant. Humectant's adds moisture from the air while Natural oils penetrate the hair strands. Humectant's ( i.e glycerin, honey, agave nectar, etc)
Let's get into addtional reasons why leave in conditioners are important for our hair:
1. Many leave in conditioners detangles our hair strands.
2. Many leave in Conditioners Hydrate our hair strands.
3. And lets not forget that leave in conditioners protects our hair strands.
It is equally important to use a leave in conditioner after washing our hair in helping to lock in the needed moisture our hair needs. Do your very best to stay away from leave in Conditioners with petroleum. Petroleum will not moisturizer your hair. It will simply sit on top of your hair leaving it feeling greasy. Try using a natural Leave in conditioner one filled with Natural ingredients.
Very important side note apply a leave in conditioner while combing through or detangling your hair. To prevent the risk of breaking and damaging your hair.
My favorite leave in and one of choice is from Soultanicals Knot Sauce the moisture, ingredients and slip this leave in provides is off the chain!. ( review coming this week, excellent products!... OK stay focused Zainab).
Pictured above is Soultanicals, and KBB's Sweet Ambrosia which once this bottle is gone I will not be repurchasing ( It's OK, but not as good as the Knot sauce, although they both have great ingredients.)
OK Ladies, do you use a leave in conditioner ? If so which one do you use ?
As always Thanks for stopping by, take care. And remember to stay Naturally healthy and fabulous!

Love the Kinky Curly Knot Today...
Oh I have been out of the loop for quite some time. So I am glad you're back!!
Hey there Natural Black one,
So nice to hear from you!. I use to use Kniky Curly not today.
Thanks for sharing that with us. And thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!
Natural Black one,
Thanks! I realized how much I loved connecting with my fellow fabulous Naturals, and the natural hair community.
Thanks for stopping by, take care!
Leave ins are VITAL for my hair. Aside from actually being a bit of a product tester (I've since put the word junkie down :-)), I only use 2 products as my leave in: Salerm 21 LIC and Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose conditioner. I shall never part from these :-)
Hi Michelle,
Yeah I agree with you and the word "Junkie" in the way of products.
I have used Aubrey's from time to time to condition with really nice conditioner.
Thanks for sharing these with us Michelle. Take care.
I have to agree with Michelle, leave-ins are VITAL on natural tresses. For me it has to be creamy. I am in deep love with Sweet Nature by Eddies Hair Milk. Did I already say love love love, the consistently is that of PINK hair lotion from back in the day but only with better ingredients. I do like your suggestions though, many of which I have not heard of. I have my stapes and I haven't strayed. But my hair would laugh if I tried knot today in the Winter, Spring Summer, perhaps, but Fall Winter would be an insult, no can do.
Hi, Tiffany,
Yes indeed leave ins are vital. Thanks for sharing your fave with us Tiffany, and thanks for stopping by. Take care.
